Oxfam Unwrapped is a unique gift idea. It turns part of the programs Oxfam Japan supports in developing countries into a international cooperation gift.

When you have chosen your item, we'll use it in the programs Oxfam Japan supports for people who are fighting poverty. We'll also send a message card which has details about the support to your chosen person.

Two gifts at once
Your chosen item will become 2 gifts that will put a smile on many faces.
One is when your friend receives the card
The second is when the people fighting poverty receive support.

What is Oxfam ?

The name "Oxfam" comes from Oxford Committee for Famine Relief, founded in Britain in 1942. Today, there are 16 affiliates and linked organizations around the world.
We are now working from Japan to bring the reality of poverty and injustice around the world to the residents of Japan by raising awareness of global issues and supporting Oxfam activities in over 100 countries.

How to Order

1. Please order by sending an e-mail with the following information

   F：Preferred method of payment (Post office transfer or credit card)
   G：Please inform us if you need a receipt.
2. Payment
   We'll send you an e-mail to confirm the details of your order and let you know the Unwrapped order number. Please pay after checking the e-mail. (Online order form is available only in Japanese, sorry for the inconvenience.)

   Please send your credit card number and expiry date with Fax.
3. The Unwrapped card will be sent to you.
4. If you wish Oxfam Japan to print your message and send it, please let us know the message want included plus the name and address of your recipient. (Please note that we are unable to send cards abroad).

Can I change my order?

The order for Oxfam Unwrapped counts as a donation to support projects aiming to eradicate poverty. So once the order has been confirmed, it can't be cancelled. Please consider carefully before ordering.
If the Unwrapped card is damaged or has a mistake, please contact 03-3834-1556.

What does my friend receive as a present?

They'll receive an Unwrapped card. There's information on the card about the support for your chosen item. You can add your own message too.
The person who receives this international cooperation gift will read the card and learn their present will be used as part of Oxfam Japan's overseas support.

What is Oxfam Unwrapped Card?

The Unwrapped card is a message card with details about support for the item you chose.
The recipient of the Unwrapped card.

1. will receive your message
   You can write a message on the card. Please write a personal message and send it to your friend, relative or colleague. You can also ask us to print the message for you.
2. will know what present they received and learn about overseas support. The card has an explanation about what kind of support activities have been donated to and they'll learn that the present to them will be used as part of Oxfam Japan's overseas support.
3. can learn about Oxfam Unwrapped.
   There's a simple explanation about the structure of Oxfam Unwrapped on the back of the card.
4. can display it in their room.
   The card can be put together so it stands up and your friend can display it in their room.

How it works

Different items, different aid, different countries

Your contributions towards the aid projects are delivered directly to those who need support. Each gift is contributes towards their own relevant projects, with designated locations for the support.

So if you choose a chicken or a goat, the money will reach one of the projects involved with livestock. The areas that receive support are India, Cambodia and Mozambique.

If you choose a Seed, Farmer training, or a Fruit trees, the money will reach one of the projects involved with agriculture. The areas that receive support are India, Cambodia, Laos and Mozambique.

If you choose a safe water, the money will reach one of the projects involved with Water & Sanitation. The areas that receive support are India, Cambodia, Laos Mozambique, and Emargency relief (Sudan, Darfur etc).

If you choose a Education, the money will reach one of the projects involved with Education. The areas that receive support are India, and Laos.
